| The carefree California attitude portrayed in Katy Perry's "Teenage Dream" video reminds me of what we were trying to achieve with our Spring 2011 Collection of light-weight silks and cashmere with a sexy Classic Malibu look. |

Each season, the Sjobeck team comes together to create limited edition items for special top retailers. Certain criteria is involved to be considered for Sjobeck's limited edition pieces, which are hand numbered by the team and in some cases signed. Usually there are only about 50-100 units produced in the limited edition items. Most items are made of vintage silks which date back to the 1940's. The way a consumer could tell if the item is limited edition, simply look under the care label and it should say. The current boutiques that carry these fabulous pieces are Ron Herman, Singer22, Sells & Co., Montmartre, Villains Vault, and a few others. The next time you purchase a Sjobeck item, look at the tag to see if you just picked up one of the limited edition pieces. |

Yes, its true! Los Angeles fashion industry will finally make its mark during global fashion week with its very own legitimate fashion platform. February 1-7, 2011, the new venue will open with 3 new runway theaters, vip area and fashion buildings between Grand Ave and Olive Ave in Downtown Los Angeles. With Hollywood just around the corner of Downtown Los Angeles, it only makes sense that LA play a significant part of fashion during fashion week. Although there have been many venues throughout the years for designers to show their upcoming collections, there has never been an actual "community" that holds the entire city together. Before there were events going on in Hollywood, Culver City, Downtown LA, Santa Monica and others, but now LA will have its own version of Bryant Park to showcase designers on a global scale. Its about time! Visit the website for more information on the 2011 project. ![]() |

Apparel News - As the first signs of winter chill hit perennially sunny Los Angeles, Sjobeck looked to Spring 2010 and transported its beach headquarters in Malibu to the Live! On Sunset retail shop in West Hollywood. Models sauntered barefoot on a white sand runway while The Beach Boys cover band The Beach Toys blared 1960s tunes and "The Endless Summer" surf documentary played throughout the store's flat screens on Oct. 10.![]() Twirlit.com - Sjobeck showed off their Spring 2010 collection at LIVE!onSunset this past weekend and their signature All-American, laid back luxury look was put on full display. Celebrity guests included Kyle Howard and LC Conrad, as well as a slew of the LA fashion industry. My favorites were the women's maxi-dresses and sweaters along with the men's zippered shirts and sweaters. The easy breezy vibe of the entire fashion show, along with the quality pieces, made me want to chill out at the beach. (Even though it's October!) http://www.twirlit.com/2009/10/19/sjobeck-goes-back-to-the-beach-at-los-angeles-fashion-week/ ![]() Kipton Art Magazine - Malibu took over Hollywood recently with the unveiling of Sjobeck's (show-beck) Spring 2010 collection. The show was held at LIVE! on Sunset (think Kitson with room to think). Guests sipped on M Bar's (of Malibu) signature cocktails as beach clad models sauntered down the sand covered runway. The highlight for me (besides rubbing shoulders with Lauren Conrad...LA's socialite) was the Beach Boys coverband that provided an appropo soundtrack for the evening. http://www.kiptonart.com/magazine/index.php?req=article&id=227 ![]() |
